Fortunato Santucci was born in L'Aquila, Italy, in 1964. He received the Laurea degree (cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of L'Aquila, Italy, in 1989 and 1994, respectively. In 1989 he was with Selenia Spazio S.p.a., Rome. In 1991-1992 he was at the I.E.S.S.-C.N.R., Rome, where he researched on superconductor receivers for millimeter wave satellite systems.
Since 1994 he has been an Assistant Professor in Telecommunications at the University of L'Aquila, Department of Electrical Engineering. In 1996 he was a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, where he did research on CDMA networks. His current research activity is focused on mobility management, traffic modelling and multiple access techniques for mobile communications networks.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and currently serves as an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Communications. Mobility management, traffic modelling and multiple access techniques for wireless communications networks Course: Signal Analysis and Random Processes.
Supervisor of thesis works in wireless communications.
